A graduate of New York Medical College in Valhalla, Dr. Maddalo completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he gained specialized experience as a sports medicine resident with the New York Jets. He further advanced his training in pediatric orthopedics at Boston Children’s Hospital, solidifying a foundation that would support a highly impactful career.

Dr. Maddalo has been a pivotal figure in sports medicine, having served as assistant team physician for the New York Rangers from 1986 to 2014. He has also provided orthopedic care to student-athletes as the team physician for Manhattan College, the College of Mount Saint Vincent, and the College of New Rochelle. His work extends across professional, collegiate, and youth athletics, contributing to the long-term wellness of countless athletes.

Dr. Maddalo has earned repeated recognition as a “Top Doctor” by New York Magazine in 2012, 2022, and 2023. In addition to his clinical roles, he serves as Police Surgeon for several agencies, including the New York State Police, Westchester County Police, Yonkers Police, and Sleepy Hollow Police Department, and is an Associate Member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Westchester County Medical Association, and the New York State Medical Society.
